BIOS 390 - Introduction to Research An introduction to the process of conducting scientific research, typically in the area of speciality of the instructor. During the semester, the student will be responsible for conducting a literature review on the topic and will then develop and implement a research plan with methods and materials (and a chemical hygiene plan if required). Appropriate data analysis and interpretation will follow completion of the practical component of the project, and the student will be encouraged to present their work in a departmental seminar or at a conference.
Prerequisites BIOS-261 and permission of instructor.
