PHIL 552 - Philosophy of Religion This course will introduce the student to the main frameworks of philosophic thought, especially as they relate to religious studies. Particularly important will be the thought of Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Immanuel Kant, and the Modern/Postmodern area. Topics considered will be the arguments for the existence of God, religious experience, the problem of evil, problems with religious language, miracles, immortality, freedom and determinism, faith and reason, and religious pluralism.
