BIOS 331 - Microbiology


A survey of the study of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. The character of microbial organisms and infectious diseases is included with emphasis on modes of transmission, diagnosis, treatment, management, and control. Bacterial metabolism and human immune responses are covered to facilitate complete understanding of bacterial life cycles.

Not open to Nursing majors.

Requires co-requisite enrollment in BIOS-330L.

Prerequisites
BIOS-261 (Genetics) or BIOS-332 (Human Anatomy/Physiology I) is the pre-requisite for this course.
