This program requires a minimum 3 hours of foreign language at the intermediate level or higher.
In the EXPLORING THE HUMANITIES category, students must complete a total of 6 hours: HUMN-201 and EITHER ENGL-221 OR ENGL-222.

- MUSG-286 Piano Proficiency Examination Credit Hours: 0
- Requires enrollment in piano according to placement unless waived by initial exam. Must enroll in piano every semester until successfully completed.
- Applied Study - Primary Instrument (8 semesters) Credit Hours: 24
Secondary Instrument Credit Hours: 2 (may be fulfilled by class or applied piano as assigned)
- Performance Ensemble - Credit Hours (10)
- Required 6 Semesters
- MUSE-101WE-Wind Ensemble OR
- MUSE 101OR-Orchestra (required for string majors, also available to winds and percussion) OR
- MUSE 101SB-Symphonic Band (if not accepted into Wind Ensemble or Orchestra) OR
- MUSE 101CU-Choral Union (guitar majors only)
- Elective 4 Semesters
- MUSE 102xx - Any Other instrumental or vocal ensemble(s)
NOTE: Two (2) credits of the 10 total ensemble credits must be Chamber Music (MUSE-102CM). These two credits may count toward degree completion as Required or Elective ensembles.
