In the HUMANITIES area, students in this degree program will take HUMN-201 Foundations of Western Culture, plus ONE (1) additional Humanities course chosen from the remaining Humanities options, except MUHL-211 Music In Culture.
This degree program requires 6 credit hours of foreign language at the Intermediate level or higher.
Music Electives (3)
Three hours of electives from the following disciplines at the 200-level or above: MUCO, MUSB, MUSW, MUED, MUHL, or MUST.

- to be completed over a minimum of 5 semesters
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Ensemble Participation (6)
- Required - 1 semester each of the following (4):
- MUSE-101CPI - Instrumental Collaborative Piano
- MUSE-101CPV - Vocal Collaborative Piano
- MUSE-102CM - Chamber Music OR Pianist in any ensemble
- MUSE-101OR - Orchestra OR 101WE - Wind Ensemble OR 101SB or CU or LC (if not accepted into Orchestra or Wind Ensemble)
- Elective - 2 semesters of any ensemble (2)
