MMST 536 - Methods of Bible Study This course prepares students for personal and community Bible study using a variety of study methods. These methods include inductive study, summaries and surveys, biographical or character study, word study, and devotional study. The methods used seek to understand the original meaning of the biblical text as well as its relevance to the contemporary world. The course emphasizes direct engagement with biblical texts through the disciplined use of sound hermeneutical principles.
