MTHS 161 - Algebra for Calculus A rigorous introduction to the foundations of Algebra: complex numbers; equations and inequalities; functions and transformations; inverse functions; polynomials, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Intended primarily for students who will be taking Calculus I.
Prerequisites ACT mathematics score of 20 or SAT equivalent, or completion of MTHS-099 with a grade of C or better, or placement by the Math Placement Exam.
Credit Hours: 4 Notes Depending on test scores, may require co-requisite enrollment in MTHS-161L.
