THEO 399 - Theology and Pilgrimage A companion to a study-abroad trip to a location(s) of Christian importance. The course will introduce historical and theological significances of sites on the students’ travel itinerary. Emphasis will be place on the relationship between “tourists” and “pilgrims,” as well as whether and how travel to Christian sites and relics might become an expression of Christian spiritual devotion for students who are traveling.
Prerequisites THEO 230 or THEO 250
