    LASP 313 - Economics of Latin America

    This course compares paths of industrialization in Latin America in order to understand why some countries develop while others stagnate. Specific topics include the dept crisis, structural adjustment, economic integration in the Americas, the Mexican peso crisis and its spread across Latin America, the politics of poverty, and economic inequality.
