MUHL 316 - Opera Literature A survey of opera literature in Western music from 1600 to the present. Attention is given to the knowledge and source of opera plots, roles, and the ability to aurally identify specific opera themes. Musical contexts, geographical regions, composers and dramatic styles are also covered.
Prerequisites MUHL-311 and MUHL-312
Credit Hours: 2 When Offered Offered in Spring Semester during even numbered years
