MUHL 512 - Performance Practice in the History of Music An overview of significant techniques, notations, and contexts of historically informed performance with particular emphasis on the baroque and classic styles. Students consult primary and secondary sources and apply principles learned to representative musical works appropriate to their degree programs.
Prerequisites Appropriate score on the Music History Placement Exam, and MUSG 510 Introduction to Graduate Music Studies.
