MUHL 516 - Opera Literature An in-depth study of opera literature in western music from 1600 to the present. Attention is given to the knowledge and sources of opera plots, roles, and the ability to aurally identify specific opera themes. Musical periods, geographical regions, composers and dramatic styles will also be covered.
Prerequisites MUHL-500 or equivalent.
Credit Hours: 2 When Offered Spring semester of even-numbered years
