Minor Requirements

The minor in Physical Education consists of 18 hours. The following 12 hours are required:

HLTH 353 - Safety and First Aid Credit Hours: 2
EXSC 215 - Exercise Techniques in Performance and Wellness Credit Hours: 3
PHED 201 - Foundations of Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science Credit Hours: 1
PHED 361 - Kinesiology Credit Hours: 3

The remaining 6 hours must be chosen from the following:

HLTH 352 - Substance Use and Abuse Credit Hours: 2
HLTH 360 - Personal and Community Health Credit Hours: 3
PHED 342 - Teaching Adapted Physical Education Credit Hours: 2
PHED 440 - Motor Learning & Development Credit Hours: 3
PHED 441 - Assessment and Evaluation in Wellness, Recreation, and Exercise Science Credit Hours: 3
